Struggling to get in and out of the car? Then a car lever may be helpful to have something to hold and push your weight on as you enter/leave the car. A great tip an occupational therapist told me once is to sit on a plastic bag in the car as you can use it to easily turn yourself to get your legs outside the car!

I throughly recommend any family to include sharing locations on there phone with each other! Just so someone can always be looking out for you if something seems like it may be wrong! But for some people it's an absolute necessity to allow them to still get out and about on there free will but also ensuring there safety too - particularly if the person has a cognitive impairment like dementia. When out and about if you have a medical condition I recommend writing a medical card with your information and the important things for people to know should you have a medical emergency. Put them in a lanyard or wallet. But this is equally important if you are a carer - if you care for someone relying on you I would write a card highlighting who you care for and what there needs are should anything happen to you.
